Lyft is an American transportation network company basend in San Francisco, California. The Company started in 2012 by two guys named Logan Green and John Zimmer. It is all mobile-phone based company. It is simply connecting passengers who need a ride with drivers who have a car. Lyft is today worth $5.5 billion, and it operates in over 200 US cities, such as already mentioned San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City. At the beginning of 2016, Liyft raised more than $2 billion from its investors (General Motors, Alibaba, Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue Management, Didi Kuaidi, fbFund, Floodgate, Fontinalis Group, Fortress, Founders Fund, GSV Capital, Icahn Enterprises, Janus Capital Management, K9 Ventures, Mayfield Fund, Prince Alwaleed’s Kingdom Holdings Company, Rakuten, Tencent and Third Point Ventures.
Wherever you go, count on Lyft!
How does Lyft actually work? Lyft provided mobile phone APP that is available for Android and iOS. The Lyft app matches you with local drivers at the tap of a button. Only three steps are in front of your ride.
Four options you can select (Lyft, Lyft Plus, Lyft Premier, or Lyft Line).
Lyft Drivers will get you where you need to go.
When your ride ends, just pay and you can rate your driver through your phone.
